How we research

Last updated 2026-10-12

SaunaGround is an independent publication. We don't sell saunas and we haven't physically tested the models listed — every sauna page says so.

Where specs come from

Specifications come from the seller's listing on Amazon and, where it exists, the brand's own website. Each sauna page names its sources and the date we last checked them.

What "verified" means

A model is marked verified when we've matched an exact retailer listing to the model and recorded its stated specs. It means "we checked what the seller states" — not that we confirmed the claims ourselves.

Why some fields say "Not yet verified"

  • The listing doesn't state that detail.
  • Two sources disagree (for example, two different heater powers) — we leave it blank until it's resolved.
  • The listing changed since we last checked.

We never fill a gap with a guess, an average or a typical value.

Rechecking

We recheck listings when we update a page. If a listing disappears or starts selling a different product, we remove its buy button and say so on the page.

Prices, ratings and opinions

We don't show prices, star ratings or review counts — they change constantly and are best checked on the live listing. Our own opinions are labeled "Our take:". Comparisons like "smallest" are calculated from the recorded specs, not typed by hand.

Owner feedback: praise and complaints

We investigate independent owner accounts for each exact model, including negative and mixed experiences. Each published summary links to its source. A self-reported owner is not a verified purchaser, and a single report does not establish a recurring problem.

We keep model-specific feedback separate from company-level experiences, other configurations, listing claims and our own opinion. If sources are inaccessible or the model cannot be matched, we say so; missing evidence is not proof that a sauna has no complaints.

We do not manually reproduce Amazon customer reviews, excerpts or ratings. Amazon's Participation Requirements, section (t) requires its approved data-service process for that use. Visitors can read Amazon feedback on the original listing.

Download the full owner-feedback audit for every catalog record, including search queries, source links and unresolved evidence gaps.

Electrical and safety

We only report electrical requirements stated for the exact heater. We never give wiring instructions or breaker sizes; a licensed electrician must assess every installation.

Search and content audit

Read the page-by-page search audit for metadata, initial content, navigation and unresolved source gaps. A successful page check is not evidence of Google indexing, measured traffic or an AI-answer citation.
